Don’t have a machine? Don’t let that stop you! For a mere $10 per hour, you can have access to one of our machines here at Sew L.A. in addition to a serger, a cutting table, an iron and some basic supplies. If you have never sewn before, we suggest you take the Machine Intro class before renting a machine – let us know when you schedule time and we’ll work out the details! We also offer a quickie “Machine Refresher” if you just need a reminder as to where the bobbin goes. (The Bobbin Goes On Your Nose! – what a great kid’s book that would be...)

The Nitty-Gritty:

• One hour minimum, then billed by the half hour. $10 per hour. The full Machine Intro class is $55 for 3 hours of instruction.

• The “Machine Refresher” is $15: threading the machine, winding the bobbin, inserting the needle, changing stitch length & width. Please call ahead to ensure instructor availability!

• Bargain alert: “Machine Refresher” plus 2 hours in the Sewlab for $30 – you save five bucks! Woo Hoo! Please call ahead to ensure instructor availability!

Hours + Availability:

Hours for the SewLab are Monday - Friday from 11am – 6pm. Some availability on weekday evenings (6-9pm) + weekends 11am - 6pm. We recommend calling in advance to make sure there is space, especially after 6pm & weekends, at 323-665-7097. Come sew with us!
